Darren Crompton takes charge as interim head coach as Weston host Old Redcliffians

Feast of rugby action at Weston on Breast Cancer Awareness Day as Weston 1stXV (who will be wearing PINK), United and Colts are all in home action

Darren Crompton takes charge of his first game as Weston-super-Mare's interim head coach when the Seasiders host Old Redcliffians in National Three South West on Saturday, kick off 3pm.

Weston will be looking to end a run of five straight defeats which leaves them one place off the foot of the table while Old Reds ended their run of four defeats with a 21-7 home victory over Old Patesians last weekend.

Crompton starts Saturday's game from the replacements bench as the Weston club hold the first of many Charity Community Days in aid of Breast Cancer. The 1stXV will be playing wearing a specially designed 'Pink' kit that will be auctioned off later that day to raise money for the Charity.

Supporters are encouraged to wear Pink to support the Charity and the team and entry to the 1stXV game will be FREE to women who turn-up wearing Pink though the club is asking for a donation to the Charity.

In the evening, there will be line music in the clubhouse from the 'Moderations' and tickets for this are £7.50 available in advance from the bar or £10 on the evening.

There is a top of the table clash in the Tribute Somerset Premier league where second placed Weston United host league leaders Gordano who have a two point advantage as both teams are both unbeaten this season, kick off 3pm.

Weston United (home v Gordano, 3pm): Ross Bennett; Adam Godfrey, Seb Harris, Mike Leahy, Mike McCarthy; George Chapman, Ollie Trott;  Harry Nash, Mike Hocking, Phil Hobbs, Peter Rodgers, James Andrews, Joe Pullen, Rich Johnston, Simon Hudson (capt). Reps: Tom Wheatley, Dave Steele, Paul Sprague.

Weston Athletic are third in the Tribute Somerset 2 North league and on Saturday they travel to face Bristol Harlequins 2ndXV who are just a point above them, kick off 3pm.
