Love Weston and Weston-super-Mare Rugby Football Club continue partnership for the forthcoming 2016/17 season.

Love Weston are pleased to announce that it will once again be sponsoring the Weston-super-Mare Rugby Football Club first team kit for the forthcoming 2016/17 season.

This is the third successive season that Love Weston have worked with the club as part of their annual destination marketing campaign, with the club travelling to, and having visiting fans from, some of the key areas identified in our website analytics, including North Devon, Bridgwater and Gloucestershire.

The partnership over the last three years has seen both organisations working together to hold key events for local schools in line with VisitEngland’s national and international marketing campaigns, which have included a Tag Rugby Tournament to support Rugby World Cup 2015 and a Go Potty gardening event to support 2016 Year of the English Garden.

Club Chairman Barry Sparks said: 'Weston super Mare Rugby Club are once again delighted to continue our partnership with Love Weston and the Town Council, which is much more than purely sponsorship and allows us to jointly promote the game of rugby within the community'.

Debbie Matthews, Tourism Consultant for Love Weston, said: “The partnership between ourselves and all at the club has been, and continues to be, a huge success. We are very grateful for their support in hosting some key events over the last couple of years and we have plans for this to continue going forward with further events that will in turn support our local schools and the local community”

The Mayor, Councillor Alan Peak, said: “I am extremely pleased that Weston-super-Mare Town Council is involved with Weston-super-Mare Rugby Football Club. At the launch the lads really appreciated having new kit for the new season, which they hope will be a successful one for the Team.”
