Mixed Fortunes for Weston's teams

Defeats for 1stXV and Athletic but wins for United and Colts

Weston 1stXV went down to a second home defeat as Barnstaple won 24-11 to secure their first National Three South West win of the season.

The home side's points came through a try from skipper Andy Glen and two penalties for full back Jack Skelton. The visitors replied through a try from skipper Mark Berry plus two tries and a penalty for wing Luke Berry and fly-half Steve Perry's late drop goal which denied Weston a loosing bonus point.

Weston United remain unbeaten in second place in the Tribute Somerset Premier League after their 17-8 win at Tor.

Tries from Joe McGrath and Matt Burns plus Darren Hancock's conversion of his own touchdown and Jake Whatley's pushover try in his final game before he heads to Australia saw Weston Athletic take a try-scoring bonus point fro their 35-22 home defeat by Winscombe 2ndXV in the Tribute Somerset 2 North league.

Weston Colts took maximum points from their 28-7 win over their North Petherton counterparts with two tries from Jacob Cox plus one each for Jamie Smith and Billy Kirk while Jack Salisbury converted all four.
