Weston in Somerset Cup semi-final action tonight (Tuesday)

Weston-super-Mare face North Petherton tonight at Bridgwater & Albion's College Way ground

Somerset Cup holders Weston-super-Mare face North Petherton, the 2012 winners, in the second semi-final at Bridgwater & Albion's College Way ground this evening (Tuesday), kick off 7.30pm.

The Seasiders have had an easy progress to this stage after having a bye and a 'Walk Over' in the previous rounds while North Petherton had a 19-3 win over Wells and a 'Walk Over' in the quarter-finals.

Both sides lost their respective league games at the weekend, Weston were beaten 54-8 at Amersham & Chiltern in the SSE National Three South West while North Petherton went down 27-12 at Bideford in Tribute South West One (West).

Weston have a number of players back from injury for tonight's game allowing them to make five changes plus one positional move. Jack Skelton returns at full back and Matt Watkins on the right wing.

In the pack, George Sparks returns at No.8, Dave Bufton and Ed Hunt link-up in the second row so Phil Hobbs moves to his more usual position at tighthead prop. The club leading points scorer James Mackay could return from injury off the bench.

North Pethertlon suffered a number of injuries in Saturday's defeat so delay confirming their side pending some late fitness tests. The winners will face Taunton Titans, who beat Old Redcliffians 30-16 last Tuesday, in the final again at a neutral venue.
