Weston look to complete a league double over Old Patesians

Head coach Paul Redman expects a hard game, as always, against a well drilled and experienced Old Pats side

Two sides hovering around the middle of the table meet at the Drove Road Recreation Ground when Weston-super-Mare host an Old Patesians side who are just one point above them in the table.

Weston will be looking to get back to winning ways after being thumped 55-10 away to title chasing Chinnor last weekend but also hoping to complete a league double having won 32-15 in October.

It was the first time in nine years that Weston had won at Everest Road and they had to thank wing Matt Watkins for their success as he ran in the Seasiders four tries with full back James Mackay converting three and adding two penalties.

Watkins continues on the wing for Weston but Mackay is sidelined through injury. Chris Young comes in at full back, Ash Russell returns to the second row with Rich Bignall at openside flanker

Old Patesians give a debut to former Lydney centre Ross Webb so Leo Fielding moves to the right wing with Dan Burrows moving to the left wing and Ben Tupper dropping to the replacements bench.

James Pugh comes in at loosehead prop, Henry Tapsell switches to No.8 with Josh Stevens coming in at blindside flanker and Leroy Hughes at openside flanker as Nathan Riley is injured and Marcus Brown unavailable,.
