Anyone watching the minis and juniors train today could not have helped notice an increase in the number of girls playing rugby at our club. This may be due, in part to the success of the game internationally or we are doing something right in the Sunnyside of town. This is an opportunity which the club would be foolish to not to develop. Certainly the club should do everything it can to retain the players it has; and to do that it will have to attract enough girls into its age groups to form an U13roses side upon which it can build on from there.

By re-forming the Roses section for our younger female players we hope that this will encourage those who are not currently playing mixed rugby or those who would like more game time than they are getting now to join us. Anyone visiting the club would see that this is not a club living on past glories or even its history.
