The families of our players attended in great numbers to generously applaud and acknowledge the effort and commitment of our players and coaches.

No club in the country can claim to be holding its 47th presentation evening. It reminded me that we need to begin plans to celebrate our 50th birthday! Where must those past players be?

Over 200 people listened to the coaches sum up their respective age groups achievements, sum up their season and set out their aims for next season and present the players with their engraved age group medals.

Individual Awards went to the following players
U15's Best Newcomer - Wilfred Bright

U13's Most Improved Player - Ollie Ayres
U14's Most Improved Player - Jude Cresser
U15's Most Improved Player - Isaac Bliss

U13's Players Player of the Season - Thomas Lewis
U14's Players Player of the Season - John Flemming
U15's Players Player of the Season - Isaac Bliss

U13's Player of the Year - Warren Gifford
U14's Player of the Year - Huw Matthews
U15's Player of the Year - Hayden Main

Presentations were also given to our age group sponsors with Club Shirts being given to Colin Blyth on behalf of Howards Citroen
Gav Simpson GSH Projects
Angie Wells from Utility Warehouse
a final acknowledgement and shirt was given to Seymours Roofing.

The section is extremely grateful for their support over the last two seasons and we hope we it continues next season and beyond. Sponsorship in any form provides valuable income which allows us to keep our fees at a single £60 fee for the season.

Finally, the players themselves took to the stage to thank their coaches and those who assist their age groups.

Club caterer and stalwart Richard 'Benny' Hill of Hills Bakery provided a buffet which even a horde of hungry players could not demolish.

I would like to thank all of those who attended and made this evening a worthwhile event to organize. I am immensely grateful to the coaches and the senior support the section is receiving.

For those of you reading this who are thinking about whether rugby is for you or your family. Please look further into our website and contact the coaches. We operate a fair play policy, we are not a result focused club. If you want to play rather than 'train and watch' we are your club.

Photos to follow.
