Weston-super-Mare 1stXV remain one place off teh foot of the National Three South West table after going down 29-19 at home to Brixham who, with their bonus point victory, have moved into third place.

The Fishermen led 18-9 at half time after full back Jack Skelton had landed two penalties to put the home side ahead. But teh visitors came back with three tries in ten minutes through Jonny Brown, Dean Squire and Declan Sexton.

Brixham fly-half Ben Lovell added a penalty which was cancelled out on half time with Skelton slotting his third penalty between the uprights.

Ten minutes into the second period centre Tom McClean crossed for Brixham's bonus point try which was quickly cancelled out by a touchdown from Weston replacement Ross Bennett.

Weston centre Sylvan Edwards was given ten minutes in the sin-bin by Hampshire referee Ben Wiles. Lovell added a penalty before Brixham had flanker James Hannaford yellow carded.

Skelton was off target with a penalty and, after Lovell had found the target with his next attempt from the tee, saw the conversion attempt of wing Mike McCarthey's touchdown, hit the near upright and bounce back into play.

On Saturday Weston host Old Redcliffians, who won 21-7 at home to Old Patesians, when the Seasiders will be wearing a specifically designed 'Pink' shirt as part of the club's Community Charity Day in aid of Breast Cancer.

Exmouth remain unbeaten at the top of the table after their 26-16 home victory over Hornets who have dropped to fourth place. Redingensians are second, six points adrift but with a game in hand, after their 31-15 home win over sixth placed Newton Abbot.

Old Centralians, who avoided relegation on the final day last season, have moved up to fifth place with a 25-20 win at Oxford Harlequins. Bracknell win 34-17 at Barnstaple while Bournemouth sent newcomers Chard to their seventh defeat as they won 46-11

Weston United came back from being 22-5 down at half time in their Tribute Somerset Premier league game at Wiveliscombe as they went on to win 24-22 to remain two points behind leaders Gordano who are also unbeaten.

A last minute try from Narius Berzins sealed Weston United's victory after he had scored one earlier in the match to add to a touchdown from Harry Nash and a penalty try with George Chapman landing two conversions.

Gordano, who visit Weston on Saturday, won 33-10 at home to Nailsea & Backwell; Winscombe are third, two points behind Weston, after their 53-nil victory over basement side Imperial.

Clevedon 2ndXV won 29-21 at home to Oldfield Old Boys; St Bernadettes Old Boys lost 14-11 at home to Tor; Taunton United won 51-12 at home to Old Redcliffians 2ndXV while Yatton were 33-15 home winners over Minehead Barbarians.

Weston Athletic led 33-14 at half time in their Tribute Somerset 2 North league game at home to Gordano 2ndXV but went on to lose 38-33 with both sides taking a try-scoring bonus point to leave Weston just ahead on points difference.

Wing Dan Prime crossed the whitewash twice for the Weston side with the other try scorers being Ben Wheeler on his senior debut, Jack Bridgeman and Rich Frost who had switched from second row to the wing. Dan Lomax added two conversions and Frost two.

Weston Athletic, who are third in the table, next Saturday travel to face Bristol Harlequins 2ndXV who are one point above them in the table after losing 28-17 away to Walcot 2ndXV.

Old Bristolians 2ndXV remain at the top of the table, five points clear of Bristol Harlequins 2ndXV, after their 58-12 home win over Keynsham 2ndXV while Imperial 2ndXV won 14-10 at home to Clevedon 3rdXV

Nailsea & Backwell 2ndXV won 19-14 at home to Old Redcliffians 3rdXV; Old Culverhaysians won their home game 45-10 against Winscombe 2ndXV while Oldfield Old Boys 2ndXV won 36-19 at home to Stothert & Pitt 2ndXV.

Weston Colts game at home to Wiveliscombe Colts was cancelled as the visitors were unable to raise a side. On Saturday, Weston Colts host Frampton Cotterell Colts.
