Hundreds of children and dozens of clubs from across the country filled 'The Rec' and the surrounding sports field on Drove Road today for a day of rugby. Organised by Dan Denning, Steve Robertson and Gary Moore they were superbly supported by an army of volunteers including senior players flipping burgers they kept our guests fed. Others made sure that teams were on the right pitch at the right time.

On behalf of the club I would like to thank you all for your efforts today. I am certain that every player, coach and parent left with some fond memories and will be looking for the fixture to be announced next year. Having taken the time to walk around today it was clear how enjoyable today was for everyone. Given that this was only the second year of the festival it is obvious how accessible our town must be to other clubs across the country.
