Weston gain further bonus point win in tough battle against Drybrook

Weston remain undefeated in SW 1W after this comprehensive victory over a spirited Drybrook side.
From the kick off the visitors were under pressure and soon conceded a penalty in front of the posts kicked by the Weston fly half James MacKay.
Weston continued to keep the visitors well inside their own half and on ten minutes following good work from the forwards James Mackay slid through the defence and scored at the posts. He converted his own try to give Weston a ten point lead.
Drybrook started to get back into the game and ran strongly at Weston, notably through back row forward Peaper, but the home defence held and the Weston pack forced another penalty converted by MacKay.
Weston lost their way a little and Drybrook ran hard at them. Despite Weston's complete dominance at the set piece Drybrook forced an error and were awarded a penalty which was kicked by full back Treherne. This was the final score of the half and despite leading by 13-3 Weston were not performing as well as they would have liked and Drybrook must have felt they were in with half a chance.
The second half was a different story and Weston played a much faster and wider game and almost from the start they were on the attack inside the Drybrook 22. Great back play and quick passing allowed Dickson to score in the corner following a great run from wing Matt Watkins. James Mackay missed the conversion from the touchline.
Weston's pack were shoving the visitors forward unit all over the park and from a ball against the head number 8 Morrissey picked up and slipped the ball to Tuttiett who scored near the posts. Dickson took over the kicking duties as MacKay was substituted following an injury and he converted.
Weston continued to play with terrific speed and moving the ball wide. A sweeping move saw some great interchanges and offloads and Morgan was on hand to take to final ball from Dickson as he scored the bonus point try. Dickson converted and Weston looked to have things sown up at 32-3 with just 10 minutes remaining.
Drybrook continued to compete and work hard and their efforts brought a move out onto the right wing and Gardner scored in the corner. Treherne's attempted conversion hit the upright.
Weston were not finished though and continued to press hard in the dying minutes of the game. A penalty brought a line out close to the Drybrook line and in a well worked move the line out was won and Morrissey crossed for a try on his birthday, converted by Dickson to gave Weston a hard fought but convincing bonus point win.
