In their best performance to date, Weston continue their fine start to the Season. Match report by Andrew Ballard

Weston travelled to Teignmouth with hopes high of securing their 10th victory this season in SW1W and in retaining their unbeaten record this season.
The game began in heavy rain. Weston applied good pressure and kept possession. After 7 minutes this pressure resulted in Teignmouth giving away a penalty and MacKay slotted his first kick from 35 metres.
Weston kept up the pressure and their defensive work was of high quality. Teignmouth struggled to make any ground as Weston's line speed and tackling prevented the home side from making any progress. Teignmouth infringed a second time as Weston attacked and Weston's second penalty was converted by MacKay.
Following great work by the pack Weston switched the play towards the right wing and full back Harry Jones came into the line at a testing angle to score Weston's first try and with Mackay's conversion Weston were in front after 25 minutes by 0-13. Almost straight from the restart Weston attacked again and forwards and backs combined again to take them inside the home sides 22 when Jones again picked up a neat pass from centre Morgan to carve his way to the line for his second try. Mackay's conversion put Weston 20 points in front with 15 minutes left in the first half.
Teignmouth then had a good period and exerted some pressure of their own. Weston gave away a couple of penalties and the home side ran hard at the Weston defence. They succeeded in drawing in the Weston defenders and created a space out wide which was exploited by the winger who scored a well taken try in the corner. Despite this score Weston reasserted their dominance and right wing Chris Young was on hand at the end of a great passage of play to score Weston's third try on the stroke of half time. With the score on 5-25 Weston looked to be odds on for a win.
Weston's iron grip on the game was further secured from the restart as they fielded the kick off and ran through four phases before moving the ball out wide. A neat inside pass from Young was collected by scrum half Tuttiett for his third touch of the move and he evaded the remains of the home side defence and ran round behind the posts for the bonus point try. MacKay converted.
Teignmouth worked hard and developed some momentum through good work at a line out and from their well rehearsed driving maul. The home side drove for the line and Weston were surprised when the referee awarded a penalty try as the maul collapsed. The conversion was made and the home side may have hoped for a comeback but from the restart Weston attacked at speed and following good work from their forwards the backs worked the ball wide and Young sprinted for the line to touch down for his second try. Weston attacked again from the kick of and drove down the middle of the park and then switched play to the left wing where Watkins finished in style in the corner.
Teignmouth defended determinedly for the final quarter and kept Weston out but eventually Weston's energy and commitment resulted in a try for Spelman in the dying seconds of the game.
Weston's game was characterised by a very effective and robust defence with barely a missed tackle all game, and by a clinical and speedy attack which brought them 7 tries. In the forwards Weston's front row of the three little pigs from Burnham provided a fantastic platform. Man of the match Andy Glen had a massive game and he carried the ball into the Teignmouth defence time and again. Morrissey, Crossman, and Johnson tackled wonderfully and the backs were on fire.

10 wins from 10 starts in the league, combined with nearest rivals Thornbury losing today at Okehampton leaves Weston top of the table and thirteen points clear. They will be hoping to maintain this form when they entertain newcomers to SW1W Midsomer Norton at the Rec next Saturday.
