In another match against a club fighting a relegation battle the Seasiders were completely outplayed by the visitors back division.
Up front, Weston's pack won a fair share of possession including the theft of three line outs by lock Ewan Bulger inside his own "22". But the back division was not up to the task despite the efforts of former Cornish Pirates no 10 Ollie Snook who scored all of his teams points with four penalties from six attempts.
Weston were ahead in the 2nd minute with the first of Snook's penalties but the Old Boys soon replied with winger Dan Burrow's corner try. Snook's second penalty followed four minutes later but flanker Tom Langton's try took the visitors ahead. However, Darran Crompton's pack applied maximum pressure and although Snook's penalty attempt was wide, he made amends with a similar score three minutes later to take the interval score to 9 - 10.
Snook's fourth penalty arrived in the 11th minute of the second half following several powerful drives, but the visitors responded straight away when full back George Hughes converted his own try for 12 - 17. Weston were now in bonus point territory at best and there was a thrust by Ethan Maloney and a try saving tackle by Harry Jones. But despite the efforts of Bulger the Seasiders remained penned in their own 22' and Hughes finished things off with a straight penalty with five minutes of normal time remaining.
