With only 11 players Weston were lent a Gordano player to make the numbers up to 12.
Almost immediately Clevedon caught Weston napping as one or two backs were drawn towards the breakdown like Winnie the Pooh to a jar of honey allowing them a simple run in towards the line. Shortly after two missed tackles saw them double their advantage.
From that moment on Weston stepped up a gear and at last began to compete. They made inroads into the Clevedon defence with good running from Alfie Calcutt, Dylan Way & Jamie Meaden. The front 5 of Edward Land, Jamie Meaden, Matthew James, Tom Burge & Charlie Harding secured the ball for Hobbs Gaulton who is proving to be a lively little scrum half. With Isaac Bliss again tackling way above his size and Lottie Dadds keeping her backline organised Weston looked like a team.
All that was missing were some pointes to reward their efforts as Clevedon held on.
