Weston built on their encouraging Clevedon performance to share the honours with Gordano in an enjoyable encounter against two teams who were well matched physically and played the game in great spirit.
Once again though it took their opponents to score twice before Weston came to life. They got back into it the game thanks to a great move started by Hobbs Gaulton spinning the ball out and the backs getting the ball out to their loaned player to race home and score.
Almost minutes later they were level as Alfie Calcutt burst away following a trade mark pick up and run of almost half the length of the pitch.
Turning around Gordano pressed and pressed but Weston never gave an inch with every player making a contribution. Standing head and shoulders above all the others was the diminutive Lottie Dadds whose presence of mind, positional sense and organisational skills kept several of her more inexperienced team mates in the right place throughout.
A good performance and a fair result.
