Putting the woes of last Sunday to one side Weston started sharply with their forwards setting the tone for what was going to be a rewarding mornings rugby.
With Dylan Way moving up into the pack to partner Jamie Meaden Weston's front 5 were really up for a game and this set the tone for an encouraging opening performance.
For once Weston were not walking amongst giants and they were actually winning set piece ball, running forwards not sideways and almost to a player showing a desire to tackle and get themselves involved physically.
This made a tremendous difference to the whole shape of the game as they won ball after ball and used it well. No one played any better Dylan Way who was simply great all over the park with the ball or without it.
He was ably supported by many players but most impressive in terms of improvement was Jack Rollings who made some significant contributions in the tackle and with the ball.
Westons four tries were scored by Tom Burge, Matthew James, Alfie Calcutt and the pick of the bunch a charging run by Jamie Meaden.
