Weston entertained Yorkshire touring side Old Brodleains RFC. Brods boasted a proud record this season with only 1 defeat. They proved too good for Weston whose heads dropped following wave after wave of attacks which they simply could not stem.
Even when they did manage to threaten the try line, that age old habit of too many wanting to gather around the ball without competing for it saw OB's simply break out into the huge open spaces to score instead.
It mostly made for painful watching but were were bright spots when Ruby Richardson returned from injury and impressed with her tackling and positional play, Matthew James did his utmost to lead by example but many were unable to follow the captains example on the day.
Such things happen and the team should aspire to reaching the heights of teams like OB's which we all believe they can. All they need to do us believe themselves and concentrate a little more on the basics.
