Weston U11s remain unbeaten - BoS.

Following a two week break due to the recent cold snap Weston RFC under 11s returned to action when they made the short trip up to Clevedon where they faced Burnham-on-Sea (BoS) RFC followed by a game against the home side Clevedon RFC. The conditions were sunny and dry with a heavy pitch under foot.

The first game against BoS was a hard fought encounter and one where yet again the Weston youngsters faced a much bigger and heavier pack. However, undaunted by their bigger opponents Weston set about the task of maintaining their unbeaten run this season. From the start BoS were quicker into their stride and were rewarded by the first score of a well deserved converted try. Still sluggish as a result of the recent break Weston managed to level the score before half time when a sniping run saw fly half Archie Tilsley go over for a try which he successfully converted, the half time score 7 – 7.

The second half proved a repeat of the first with BoS scoring first with another well worked converted try. With full time fast approaching Weston showed great team spirit and dogged determination to remain unbeaten. As such the ever reliable and hard working prop George Bamsey with great forward support went over for a try which Tilsley successfully converted. A hard fought encounter ended with honours even 14 – 14.
