Avonmouth Old Boys gain promoted to National 3 South West

Congratulations to Avonmouth Old Boys who join Weston in National 3 South West

Avonmouth Old Boys, who finished as runners-up to South West 1 West champions Brixham, have gain promotion to National League 3 South West for next season.

Mouth were away to Salisbury, runner-up to South West 1 East champions Maidenhead,on Saturday in a game that was forced to go in to extra time.

The sides were level at 8pts a piece at the break and 13pts each after 80 minutes so the game went in to 10 each way of extra time but the score went unchanged.

As it was two tries and a penalty to both sides so Avonmouth gain promotion as the away side.

Avonmouth are in action on Thursday evening at the Memorial Stadium when they face Thornbury in the final of the Bristol Combination Cup.

Old Redcliffians, Newbury Blues and Bridgwater & Albion have been relegated from National League 3 South West.
