Weston-super-Mare 1stXV has been named Somerset’s Tribute Ale Team of the Month for April 2026, having clinched the Regional 2 Tribute Ale South title in the Club’s 150th Anniversary season, finishing 17 points clear of runners-up Tiverton.
Somerset RFU President Nick Robins presented the award to director of rugby Mark Matthews, front-row Will Bamsey, and wing Hayden Main, the league’s leading try scorer, who crossed the whitewash on 37 occasions.
Weston-super-Mare 1stXV was also presented with the plaque for being the unbeaten Regional 2 Tribute Ale South champions, having scored 1030 points while conceding just 358 – and their winning margin was over 21 points on 13 occasions.
