Weston u15s finished the season in fine style running in 11 unanswered tries against a very game and determined Old Reds.
On the vast expanse of the First XV pitch Weston started brightly into a stiff breeze and it was soon wave after wave of attacking rugby from the home side threatening the Reds line, only some excellent tackling keeping Weston at bay. Eventually the visitors ran out of defenders and Weston scored four tries through Dan Press, George Bamsey, Ed Davies and a first try for second row Addison Myers, who had a fantastic game in the loose, Aaron Snow adding one conversion. Even when Weston got a 22-0 lead the Reds refused to let their heads drop and in the last 5mins of the first half they camped in the Weston half, only some determined defending keeping them out. Half time Weston 22 Old Reds 0
The second half saw Weston use their overall dominance to full effect running in seven further tries through Ed Davies (2) Tom Hughes, Dan Press, Jake Middleton, Brandon Charlton and Archie Tilsley, Aaron Snow, who had a great day all round, adding six conversions.
Final score WsM 69 Old Reds 0
Credit to the Reds, who never let their heads drop despite the score, well done to the Weston lads, a great way to sign off the season, well done to all, an excellent team performance.
