Weston U15s Enjoy a great evening after a frustrating game.

Weston u15s enjoyed a full day together on Sunday. Starting out with a hard fought match against local rivals Winscombe and ending with a visit to local Indian restaurant, Panache.

In the morning match, Weston made their customary slow start, gifting the visitors 7 points from the kick off but then dug in and gave their opponents a stiff test for most of the remaining match.

Weston defended stoutly and withheld the pressure from Winscombe but did give up a second try before then starting to turn things around. JJ Weall did eventually get over the line and with Ollie Dadds adding the conversion the sides went into half time 7-12 to the visitors and very much “game on”.

Winscombe scored early in the second half but it was then Weston who dominated for long periods but just couldn’t get over the whitewash. Winscombe then scored two late breakaway tries to leave the final score 7-33, which really flattered the visitors.

However, the day was not done and the Weston boys took a few hours off to shower and do their hair, before heading out for the evening.

The squad had dinner at Panache Indian Restaurant on Orchard Street, where they were treated to an excellent menu of dishes by the owners, a supporter of the club and one of the sponsors of the smart polo's the boys all wear after matches.

The boys were joined for dinner by Weston Mayor and Mayoress

Thanks to Naz Hoque, and his staff, for a great meal in a lovely atmosphere.

The boys then rounded the evening off with games of pool and darts.

A great day for the boys, demonstrating what a brilliant group they are becoming and it’s just lovely to be returning to some sort of normal.
